Ocular imaging device « Panoret II »

FiveCo continued its close collaboration with the Jules Gonin Opthalmic Hospital in Lausanne to develop the « Panoret II », an ultra-wide-angle fundus camera that meets the very specific needs of ocular oncology, based on an original and proven approach.
After previously developing the optical system for the new medical device, the next step was to design a fully operational prototype. This important phase required a wide range of skills, particularly in mechanics, in order to design a particularly smooth camera housing movement, offering the operator comfort, precision, and confidence during use.
Our engineers have also developed the software that controls the entire device. It incorporates image processing algorithms and supervises the various components of the system, including the light generator, which was also designed entirely by FiveCo.
We are currently working on the final phase of the project, including drafting technical documentation and participating in testing and validation processes in collaboration with various experts to ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
